Altec Chipper New To Rental Fleet
We've got a new chipper in town! Check out Altec Inc. wood chippers now available in our rental fleet! Altec offers a variety of chippers to meet your needs, minimizing electronics and simplifying hydraulics to increase productivity. Ease of operation is built into Altec chippers with the Altec Feedsense®, which automatically maintains cutter mechanism speed. The choice of Honda, GM or Kohler engines on Altec chippers is available for fuel efficiency. Operator safety, however is always our number one priority. That’s why Altec chippers come standard with our patented Panic Bar that manually stops movement of the feed rollers.
The DRM12 chipper is new to our rental fleet. It is a 12″ control-feed drum chipper with a 20″ pivot style side feed roller that is powered by a 32.2 cu in. motor. It also features an Altec Controls electronic feed system to optimize the feed control process. The DRM12 offers a rear tire changing jack attachment, standard lift cylinder, hand crank chute allowing 360° rotation and hand crank height adjustment. The patented Panic Bar is standard and available in green or red.
